WORK TRUCKS, DAILY DRIVERS AND EVERYTHING BETWEEN

Our Clinton and Upper Marlboro shops see more pickups than cars. Landscapers, contractors and county crews bring in F-150s, Silverados, Rams and Tacomas that spend all day parked in the sun on a job site. The front door glass is the only part of the truck that is not already tinted from the factory, and it is where the driver sits. Sixty dollars and forty-five minutes fixes that.

The other half of our truck customers are daily drivers who just want the truck to look finished. A pickup with dark rear glass and clear front doors looks unfinished from the side. Matching the fronts cleans up the profile and gives the driver the same heat and glare relief the back seat already has.

Rear glass, sliders and three-piece windows

If your truck came with clear glass all around, or you want to go darker on the back, we can tint the rear doors and back window too. Back windows with a center slider are three separate pieces of glass with gaskets between them, and some models have a one-piece window with a defroster grid that has to be protected. Both are routine for us but take more time, so they are quoted separately. Call with your year and model and we will give you a firm number.

Legal on a truck

Maryland treats pickups and SUVs differently from cars. The front door windows still have to pass 35%, but windows behind the driver can be any darkness. That is why factory privacy glass is legal and why we can go darker on the rear of a truck when you ask. Details are in the tint law guide.

Truck Tint FAQ

TRUCK TINTING QUESTIONS

Why only the two front windows?

Most pickups leave the factory with dark privacy glass on the rear doors and back window. Tinting the two front door windows to 35% makes the whole truck match and is the most common request we get.

Can you tint the rear glass on my truck too?

Yes. If your truck does not have factory privacy glass, or you want the rear darker, call (301) 307-1414 and we will quote the extra windows. Rear sliders and three-piece back windows take extra care and are priced on their own.

Does the $60 price apply to crew cabs and extended cabs?

Yes. The two front door windows are the same size job on a regular, extended or crew cab, so the price is $60 for all three.

Will 35% on the fronts match the factory rear tint?

Factory privacy glass is usually around 20% to 25%, so 35% film on the front will be slightly lighter. That is the legal setup in Maryland for a truck: 35% on the front doors, anything behind the driver can be darker. Most owners like the look.

How long does a truck take?

About 45 minutes for the two front windows. Add the rear glass and plan on about 90 minutes.
